Hey, I'm Panda 👋

Software Engineer · Engineering Lead, AI @ Jedox

I am a 36-year-old guy living in Freiburg, Germany. I am a positive person, I suppose, and I'm looking for my place in the world. Grew up in Karlsruhe, I studied jazz guitar at IMCF and at the Jazz und Rock Schule Freiburg, then continued at the University of Freiburg for my B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Microsystem Engineering while also doing some B.Sc. stuff in pure math at the Department of Mathematics. Professionally, I work on Python backends, Kubernetes, and AI infrastructure.

Currently

• Building production systems at Jedox (Python, Kubernetes, CI/CD stuff)
• Training for my very first marathon

Previously

• Product Manager - Industrial robotics vision systems
• Freelance Consultant - Business Intelligence
• Instructor - Applied Optimization Techniques at DHBW & Modeling and System Identification at University of Freiburg
• Examiner - B.Sc. graduation examiner for Business Informatics (Data Science and AI) at DHBW

Beyond Code

Besides work, you'll find me reading a bunch, gaming (currently into Slay the Spire 2, some Battlefield 6), playing some board games, doing sports, working out and running, playing the guitar, or hanging out with my two cats Emmy and Schroedinger.
